Looking for an idea of how to celebrate New Year's Eve in Bridlington? Well we have the best idea...

The Flamborough Fire Festival is, once again, taking place on New Year’s Eve when the village will be besieged by strong, handsome invaders led by King Canute who, having sailed across the North Sea from Denmark, will take the village and all its inhabitants for their own! Flamborough will be a blaze of celebration with fireballs, fire torches, fireworks and Viking War Drums!

The Festival welcomes everyone and encourages all children, friends and families to take part in the Longship Parade in their Viking Costumes with prizes awarded to the best dressed Vikings – children and adults! It’s going to be a fantastic night out for all the family!

For more details see the Flamborough Fire Festival website at www.flamboroughfirefestival.org

This exciting event, which is only in its third year, is unique to England and involves a Viking Themed Parade, Fireballs, War Drums, Fire Torches, Music, Viking Longship (built in Flamborough) being pulled through the streets by handsome Viking warriors with a spectacular Fireworks display at Midnight!
