A Bit About Filey
Filey is a wholly unique, quiet; and beautiful, small seaside town on the picturesque North Yorkshire coast. With its never ending soft, golden sandy beaches there is always space to take a stroll, fly a kite, take a dip in the sea or relax in a deckchair and watch the tide roll in with some delicious local fish and chips or even an ice cream on those hot summer days.
The picturesque fishing town is alive with nature and gentle pleasures. Filey Brigg the northern peninsula is ideal for a spot of birdwatching. Seals and even porpoises are regular sightings. The fishing heritage is abundant on the famous Coble Landing, a slipway steeped in fishing tradition and ideal location to grab yourself a cup of tea and bacon sandwich.
With its quirky shops, unique restaurants, busy cafes, fascinating museums and Edwardian architecture on top of the expansive sea front promenade their really is something for everyone at this unique coastal town.
