Plans to develop the old outdoor waterpark site known as Atlantis have been given the go ahead by Scarborough planning committee and officers this week. 

The plans detail a brand new multi screen cinema complex on the site which will be a huge boost to the local area. 

Benchmark Leisure Ltd's plans include a seven screen cinema, commercial units, apartments and a multi-storey car park at the Peasholm Gap site.
