Fresh water fishing lakes near Scarborough

Wykeham Lakes is situated within the Dawnay Estate on the southern edge of the North Yorkshire Moors, and eastern end of the Vale of Pickering.

Wykeham Lakes is made up of four landscaped lakes (former gravel pits), one of which is the Trout Water, stocked with Rainbow, Blue & Brown trout. The three other lakes provide a variety of coarse fishing, which includes pleasure, predator and a match lake.

A full-time warden is employed who is available for advice and the sale of tickets.  Adjacent to the Coarse lake, the fishing lodge provides a base with free coffee and tea making facilities for anglers. Snacks and cold drinks can be purchased along with a small selection of bait which includes, sinking and floating pellets, sweetcorn, luncheon meat and brown crumb (Ground Bait). WC’s and a seating area is also available.
