A captivating exhibition celebrating printmakers and their work. It comprises work from the archive of the Printmakers Council, for which Scarborough Art Gallery is the repository. After donating a selection of 116 works to Scarborough Art Gallery in 1992 the PmC proposed the idea of the Scarborough Collections becoming the repository for the Council’s archive and a further donation of 109 works arrived in late 2016. Lasting Impressions will showcase works from the PmC archive, many of which have never been on public display before.
The Printmakers Council is run by artists to promote and develop printmaking in the UK.
