Stick Man Activity Trail

The Julia Donaldson themed trails continue this winter with the new trail featuring the Stick Man. Activity packs can be purchased from the Visitor Centre for £3.00 and activity sheets are available to download on www.forestry.gov.uk/dalbyforest For more information contact 01751 460295.

Dalby Parkrun

Every Saturday 9.00am

The place to be on a Saturday morning is Dalby Forest Parkrun, dust off your trail shoes and head to Dalby Forest. This is a free timed 5k run event (discounted parking applies between 8.30-10.30am) and is open to all.

Sing-A-Long ‘Sound of Music’

Saturday 28th May, 6.30pm

Pop-up cinema Yorkshire presents a fantastic opportunity to come and ‘sing-a-long’ to this classic film in the fabulous open air setting of Adderstone field.

The film will be shown on a giant outdoor cinema screen and there will be refreshment facilities available. Why not come along in fancy dress to add more atmosphere to the event!

Join us and take part in the Stick Man Games with a twigtastic days of races including sticky obstacle course, hurdles relays and a stick man chase not to mention meeting Stick Man himself!

British Shooting Target Sprint National Series: #4 Dalby

Saturday 11th June

Ahead of the National final in Cardiff the British Shooting Target Sprint Event #4 in the series, will be held at Dalby Forest.

The event incorporates 3 x 400m runs and 2 x target shooting; Girls and Boys under 15/under 18 and Ladies and Men Open category.

The Hidden History of the Forests

Saturday 18th June, 10am-4pm

Come along and get involved in a day focused on the history on the local forests. The day will involve speaker covering a variety of subjects including The Bronze Age in Broxa, Tumuli, Types and Linear Marked Stones, Lumberjills and the Archaeology of Gilling Park & Yearsley Moor.

A-Mazing Workshops

Sunday 12th June, Sunday 10th July

The Friends of Dalby Forest are working with Mark Ellis, a local dry stone waller, on creating the world’s largest Dry Stone Wall Maze in the middle of Dalby Forest.

You can be part of this enormous and exciting project!
